I will dominate 'serious boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua
The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.
Briton Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" the American as the two fighters met personally to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Ex two time world heavyweight champion Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I plan to break his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Interaction
Despite such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually known for his dramatics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Fighter
Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Paul's Background
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's largest financial successes, frequently receiving substantial financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in rounds four or five and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.
Physical Difference
As both boxers met for the usual stare-down, with their size difference evident, it highlighted just how improbable this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the match is really going ahead.
